Six figure contract with Ferguson Group

Software development company, C-SAM Ltd, has landed a six-figure contract with international temporary accommodation provider Ferguson Group. The contract covers the Inverurie-based company’s four operating divisions, Ferguson Modular, Ferguson Seacabs, Ferguson Norge and their recently opened base in Perth, Western Australia.

Aberdeen’s C-SAM developed an online asset tracking system which allows Ferguson to ensure the group’s rental units spread across the world are fully utilised. The system has the capability of integrating with other corporate functions including Personnel Management, Customer Relationship Management and Capacity Planning. C-SAMs system also has the added advantage of being multi-lingual and can easily be tailored to suit future international expansion by Ferguson Group.

The main priority for this system was asset tracking but Ferguson has the option to expand it to assist with their other corporate functions.  The system decised by C-SAM is all encompassing which provides a global picture of all the client's asset utilities across different geographical locations. Ferguson put the tender out to market but were impressed with the flexibility of C-SAM's solution and also the company's track record.  The system enables the extract of vital management information which can be used throughout the organisation both to the benefit of Ferguson Group and their clients.

C-SAM managing director, Theresa Wheeler, said: “Winning this contract with Ferguson Group is an important strategic step forward for our company as it is one of our largest contracts to date.

“The initial contract covered Ferguson’s UK and Norwegian divisions but the flexibility of our system allowed us to easily include the new Australian base and we were able to perform remote desktop training between Aberdeen and Perth.

“We are excited to be working with a company of Ferguson Group’s reputation because it gives us a platform to show what we can do for similar companies in the oil and gas sector who place high value on the importance of asset tracking.”
