C-SAM Aberdeen Christmas Team Day Out: Bowling, Darts, Football, Bumper Cars, Pool & a 25-Year Tradition!

As the festive season rolled in, the C-SAM Aberdeen team gathered for a Christmas day out full of competition, laughter, long-standing traditions, and plenty of unforgettable moments. From bowling lanes to bumper cars, football excitement to fancy dress mayhem, it was the perfect mix to close out another fantastic year together.

A Tradition 25 Years in the Making: Fancy Dress Secret Santa

One of the true highlights of the day and an iconic part of the C-SAM culture was continuing our 25-year Fancy Dress Secret Santa tradition.

Every year, teammates pull names from a hat and are challenged to find (or create!) a costume that fits the recipient’s personality, quirks, or inside jokes. The result?
A spectacular parade of costumes ranging from clever and creative to downright chaotic and always hilarious.

Some costumes were lovingly crafted masterpieces, others were last-minute miracles… but every single one captured the spirit of fun, togetherness, and the legacy of a tradition kept alive for a quarter of a century.

The big reveal is always a moment of anticipation and laughter, and this year did not disappoint. It’s traditions like this that make the C-SAM team more than just colleagues they make us a family.

Starting Strong with Bowling

We kicked off the day testing our bowling skills. Some arrived ready to compete, others arrived ready to cause mischief, but everyone brought the energy. Between unexpected strikes, questionable techniques, and lots of cheering, it set the tone for a brilliant day.

Darts: Accuracy Optional

Next came darts where accuracy was impressive for some and purely aspirational for others. Whether landing triple-20s or missing the board entirely, the group kept spirits high and the banter flowing.

Football Break: Aberdeen vs Strasbourg

No festive outing in Aberdeen would be complete without catching the Aberdeen vs Strasbourg match. Gathered together, we cheered, shouted at the screen, debated decisions, and celebrated the highs (and questioned the lows).
 

Bumper Cars Mayhem

Recharged from football excitement, we plunged into full-on bumper car chaos. Some drove with strategy, others with pure instinct but all of us left the arena laughing, dizzy, and with a few newfound rivalries.

Winding Down with Pool

We wrapped up the evening around the pool tables, sharing stories, friendly competition, and a well-earned, relaxed vibe after a day of running, bumping, bowling, and cheering.
